Wendy Shields Bauer

Wendy was one of the original founders of NBF&M. As a young woman, Wendy worked with anti-poverty programs for a number of years - as a VISTA volunteer in St. Louis, Mo. and a community planner with the Lake County Community Action Project. She also worked as a land-use planner for the McHenry County Regional Planning Commission and with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Before law school, Wendy worked as a realtor in Champaign County for several years, when she developed her interest in the real estate industry that helped forge her practice in real estate law.

Education

B.S. degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1975 with majors in political science and geology. Law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1989.
